Verdesian Life Sciences' corporate office is located in Cary, North Carolina, USA. This position will reside in Spain.

The Development Specialist – Europe will be responsible for using local market, customer, and crop expertise to create local trial plans and maximize trial representativeness, impact, and efficiency. This is done in coordination with the Regional Lead and Director of International Agronomy and is in line with product strategy. Independently coordinate and train distributor technicians to effectively set up and execute trial plans, guarantee the correct evaluation, obtention of quality data and customer feedback to perform analysis and back up elevation proposals and value propositions, propose and lead the development of basic and advanced product developing concepts aiming to create innovative customized solutions for distributors and/or key markets. This position requires about 70% travel across Europe and ideal candidate will reside in Spain.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Local Trial plan coordination
• Data capturing, analysis, and presentation of elevation proposals
• Offers local vision about market opportunities
• Provides deep expert knowledge to enable product development and serve customers
• Drives product concept development
• Trains customer technical team & drives product specialism

• Internship or professional experience in a sales or customer service role

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Preferred degree in Agricultural Sciences with specialization in Agronomy, Plant Physiology, or Soil Science
• Knowledge of Biologicals, Plant Nutrition, Biostimulants, Inoculants, and Biofertilizers
• Minimum of 10 years of experience
• Willingness to travel
• Understanding of crops in EU and Africa
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback
• Proficiency with joint customer success and customer relationship management software
• Experimentation skills

Language:

• Fluent in writing and speaking Spanish & English
• French is a plus

Experience

• 10 year(s): Minimum experience in a similar role. Preferred degree in Agricultural Sciences with specialization in Agronomy, Plant Physiology, or Soil Science. Knowledge of Biologicals, Plant Nutrition, Biostimulants, Inoculants, and Biofertilizers.

Education

• Bachelors or better in Soil Science or related field
