Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Church Secretary to join our team in working Tuesday-
Thursday from 9 AM - 12 PM. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the administrative functions of the church and ensuring smooth operations.

Required Skills and Personal Traits:

1. Must be a Christian and have an attitude toward a role as "another minister" of the church, not just "office help."

2. Ability to protect the reputation and integrity of others through strict confidentiality. Wisdom to refrain from indiscriminately sharing information is critical.

3. Effective verbal, writing, editorial and publishing skills.

4. Willingness to learn new skills and work as a team player.

Requirements:

- Proficiency in computer applications such as Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Good organizational skills
- Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse groups of people and for creating an environment that is welcoming and inviting for anyone entering the church
- Ability to learn to use applications for the creation of the Sunday bulletin
- Prior secretarial experience is preferred
- Knowledge of proofreading techniques for accuracy in written materials
- Demonstrate good correspondence skills i.e. email, mail, and telephone

- Ability to operate general office machines, i. e. copier and laminating machine
