A Heavy Equipment operator must have 2 years experience in operating a front end loader and able to operate other heavy equipment machines. Must have experience in loading assorted material into a grinder, loading dirt and other material into a Semi truck, Super dump truck, Tandem, Mini Dump, and customer's utility truck or standard truck. Have the ability to maneuver equipment to move product around the site, make stockpiles of different material, assist soil sales with mixing different product blends and other tasks as assigned. Must have a good safety record and previous employer references will be verified. Must be able to follow instructions from Supervisor carefully to ensure that they are handling the right material, processing the correct material and loading the right vehicle with the product ordered. The Operator needs to be alert and aware of their surroundings at all times to prevent damages to the equipment, injuries to the operator and safety to others working with the operator. Not hiring for a union job at this time.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Pre-trip and post trip required daily. The need to operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner. Ability to recognize potential hazards and take the necessary precautions to avoid accidents. All accidents, incidents, equipment malfunction or damages must be reported immediately. Attention to detail with the ability to pay attention are important skills for this job because you are responsible for the quality of the product you produce and maintain. Required to be flexible with duties, schedule and location assigned.
