Overview

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for understanding and following all assigned tasks and abiding by all safety requirements. The Warehouse Worker plays a vital role in providing support to the production plants as well as storing and shipping ingredients and finished products.

Responsibilities

1. Performs the responsibilities and tasks assigned with the general guidance of the Logistics Leader, Site Leader, and Crew Leader.
2. Warehouse equipment responsibilities:

• Operates machinery or equipment as trained and instructed following safety guidelines at all times.
• Assists with preparing for production shift.
• Become knowledgeable of the mechanics and operation of machine in which they operate.

1. Palletizing responsibilities:

• Assists in the loading of trucks.
• Assists in the completing shipping/receiving documents.
• Verify loads leaving the premises.

1. Comply with the following programs within the production area:

• Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program
• Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
• Any and all food safety programs.
• Any and all safety programs.

1. Utilizes understanding of the Distribution Center to make Management aware of delays in the loading process/production selections and set up.
2. When possible, troubleshoots causes for product or ingredient issues and collaborates with other departments to provide efficient and effective resolutions.
3. Ability to communicate problems or issues that are occurring on the production floor or the warehouse area to their Crew Leader or Leader.
4. Ability to work and communicate with other departments on production issues or concerns.
5. Follows attendance policy. Observes department call-in procedures. Exhibits timely arrival and departure and dependable time habits including meal and other breaks.
6. Maintains a positive attitude and gets along well with coworkers.
7. Exhibits teamwork and willingness to help others.
8. Follows dress code and maintains a professional appearance.
9. Can be relied upon to complete assigned tasks.
10. Complies with established Departmental and Organizational policies and procedures.
11. Works within a team environment to meet/exceed established production standards.
12. As need dictates, both assigned shift, work location, and work schedule may be changed by management with or without prior notice.

• May have to work weekends and holidays.
• May have to work over 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year work experience. Warehouse experience preferred.
• Must have a great attention to detail to be able to detect the presence of product or ingredient issues.
• Ability to visually inspect product and materials.
• An understanding or willingness to learn food manufacturing and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal or written communications.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekend and overtime as needed
