Receiving Hope Center - Enrichment Coordinator

Hours: 40 hours per week; may include occasional extended hours and weekends
Reports to: Volunteer Manager
Location: Receiving Hope Center (RHC), Dallas, GA
Position Summary: The Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for contributing toward overall program objectives by developing strategic community partnerships to leverage resources, opportunities, and volunteers in support of youth participants at the Receiving Hope Center (RHC). This role enhances the life skills development, personal growth, and community engagement for participants.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Volunteer Engagement
Serve as the main point of contact for vetted volunteers through facilitating orientation, determining best fit for engagement within the program, creating and managing activity plans and scheduling, etc.
Create multiple avenues for volunteerism within the program and connect volunteers to stewardship opportunities
Serve as main point of onsite contact for Serve Day projects and special volunteer activities outside of the normal schedule
Collaborate with the Volunteer Manager to identify and recruit potential volunteers for the program
Track and report volunteer engagement, participant highlights, and enrichment content to Volunteer Manager and development team, as requested
In-Kind Donations
Collaborate with Director of Community Engagement and Volunteer Manager & to ensure participants’ and program’s needs are being met through in-kind donations
Manage the on-site clothing boutique and donation storage, ensuring that items are organized, inventoried, and available for participants
Lead holiday initiatives for program participants
Assist with in-kind and outright support
Participant Enrichment
Collaborate with Program Director to coordinate enrichment activities and outings for participants including milestone or special occasion celebrations, field trips and community outings
Lead elective education and life skill building for participants, in collaboration with the education team, Program Director and/or Volunteer Manager, engaging volunteer subject matter experts
Maintain record of all volunteer- led life skills classes in EHR system
Provide enrichment activities and care to program participants without regard to race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, religious or spiritual beliefs
Provide enrichment activities and care that is culturally competent for participants who have a history of trauma
Partnership Coordination
Work regularly with the development team to participate in community outreach activities to connect with new faith-based, corporate, and/or civic organizations for volunteerism and in-kind donation support
Work regularly with the development team to maintain and strengthen relationships with current faith-based, corporate, and/or civic organizations for volunteerism and in-kind donation support
Attend monthly collaborative meeting with other program Enrichment Coordinators and members of the development team

Provide direction and encouragement to participants and staff

Professional Qualifications:
Administrative, organizational, and computer skills including use of email and Microsoft Office suite of products
Never have been shown by credible evidence (e.g., a court or jury, a department investigation, or other reliable evidence) to have abused, neglected, sexually exploited, or deprived a child or adult or to have subjected any person to serious injury as a result of intentional or grossly serious injury as a result of intentional or grossly negligent misconduct as evidenced by an oral or written statement to this effect obtained at the time of application and evidence of having made efforts to obtain and evaluate references from previous employers
Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the person’s capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person’s suitability of working with or around children and vulnerable populations
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field such as behavioral or social science
Minimum 1-2 years of related experience in working with and/or coordinating volunteers, project coordination, and managing partnerships, preferably within a social service focused nonprofit organization
Position Requirements:
Moderate local travel required related to participant and program needs, as well as occasional travel for training and collaboration with other team members
Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds, work for long periods at a computer, and drive company vehicle as needed
Satisfactory criminal history background check, as well as a satisfactory fingerprint records check determination as required by law
Clean Motor Vehicle Record
Documentation from a licensed physician or other licensed healthcare professional of a health screening examination within 30 days of hiring sufficient in scope to identify conditions that may place residents at risk of infection, injury or improper care
Current evidence of successful completion of a biennial training program in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and a triennial training program in first aid which have been offered by a certified or licensed healthcare professional; such programs shall be completed within the first year of employment
