Court Monitors have the most interactive and dynamic roles in all of Surge! This role is exciting, fun, and rewarding. As a Court Monitor you are far more than a "Lifeguard" stuck off to the side observing and engaging only when someone breaks a rule or requires aid. You are part of the Surge high-energy atmosphere! You keep the courts safe and actively contribute to the experience of our Guest. As a Surge Court Monitor you have an incredible responsibility that includes, but is not limited to, having a consistent watchful eye on the attraction you have been assigned; and, having the knowledge of all operator manuals, procedures and protocols and faithfully implementing that knowledge.

Knowledge of Operators Manual for each attraction.

1. Ability to properly instruct each Guest with the safety rules before they begin completing any obstacles

2. Be mindful of the Guest skill level, observe carefully as they attempt all obstacles contained within the attraction. Address any Guest who are attempting tricks or maneuvers that are beyond their skill level.

3. Respectfully enforce every rule with each Guest. Separate each Guest to ensure there is proper distance between Guests.

4. Always tailor the level of play to the youngest participant (i.e. Wipeout speed or dodgeball)

5. Absolutely no phones on the court

Preventative Maintenance, Cleaning and Virus protection

1. Consistently reviewing all aspects of the attraction to ensure there is no defaults in the padding, trampoline beds, ropes, zip line...

2. Check connections to the features.

3. Verify clamps and/or bolts of all obstacles.

4. Spot check truss stability.

5. Thoroughly wipe down obstacles and features.

6. Clean pads thoroughly.

7. Disinfect all surfaces using EPA registered disinfectant.

8. Sanitize all balls for Dodge ball and Basketball.

9. Disinfect all door handles and counters.

10. Soft surfaces need to be cleaned using soap and water and disinfected suing EPA-registered disinfectant.
