Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Terminal Manager to oversee our operations and ensure the efficient and effective management of our terminal facility. The Terminal Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of terminal operations, including systems management, profit and loss analysis, supervising staff, and optimizing processes to improve efficiency.
Duties:
- Manage day-to-day terminal operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatching of goods
- Supervise a team of warehouse supervisors, dispatchers, and other staff members
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize terminal operations and improve productivity
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate supply chain activities
- Oversee demand planning and inventory management processes
- Implement process improvement initiatives to streamline operations
- Utilize AS400 or similar systems for data analysis and reporting
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of terminal operations, supply chain management, and logistics
- Proven experience in profit and loss analysis and financial management
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Proficiency in using AS400 or similar systems for data analysis and reporting
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions
- Knowledge of NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, customers, and vendors
