North Mississippi State Hospital is a 50-bed acute care facility located in Tupelo, Mississippi. We provide treatment and services for mentally ill adult men and women in the northeastern portion of the state. As part of the Department of Mental Health, we strive to offer a continuum of services within the patient's region of residence, allowing for active support from the community. Our hospital, opened in April 1999, aims to positively influence outcomes and provide comprehensive care through pre-admission, inpatient, aftercare, and crisis intervention.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Registered Nurse at North Mississippi State Hospital located in Tupelo, MS. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medication, monitoring patients' conditions, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and documenting patient information. Additionally, you will provide education and support to patients, families, and the community.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license
• Experience in psychiatric nursing
• Knowledge of mental health conditions and treatment modalities
• Ability to assess and monitor patients' physical and mental health
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
