Sought for employment at the Recovery and Bridge Center. McAlister Institute, one of San Diego County’s largest alcohol and other drug treatment providers seeks to hire one RN to join our experienced team of Service Navigators and Program Manager. McAlister employees provide a safe, supportive environment for publicly intoxicated individuals who may also suffer from substance use disorder (SUD), behavioral health disorders and other chronic conditions. The sobering center reduces incarceration and unnecessary transport to emergency departments while providing clients an opportunity to engage treatment at a “teachable moment”. RN’s will perform triage functions, provide minor wound care and assist the team in client reassessment under the guidance of medical protocols.

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience: The ideal candidate has 2 years of nursing experience, current CPR certification, a current California RN license, the ability to work shifts on weekends, exceptional nursing knowledge and a compassionate, friendly demeanor. Experience and interest in the management of vulnerable, high-needs clients is strongly preferred. Must have a valid California driver’s license/identification. Ability to pass drug test and criminal history clearance. Must comply with all agency and contract requirements related to trainings, public health, certifications, reporting, etc.
