Adjunct faculty will work with majors and/or non-majors students in the classroom and laboratory setting, and will be responsible for planning, instruction and grading in classes of up to 24 students. Department staff and faculty will provide training, support and materials for use in these courses. Applicants must possess an earned Masters degree or doctoral candidacy and at least two years of graduate-level training in a relevant discipline. Prior experience in classroom or laboratory instruction, including as a teaching assistant or laboratory assistant, is strongly preferred. Applicants are expected to have a commitment to excellence in teaching, comfort with working in an environment that fosters diversity, and the ability to use technology effectively in teaching. Salary will be based on experience.
