How You'll Make an Impact

The Learning Solution Architect (LSA) is responsible for ensuring efficient, predictable, and high-quality design, development and/or deployment of Aptima learning solutions. A learning solution is the instantiation of one or more learning or training methods and/or technologies that provides structured (formal or informal) opportunities to learn. The overall objective of the LSA is to serve as a strategic learning partner to Aptima customers by leading activities related to conceptualizing and constructing innovative, effective, and engaging Aptima training solutions, and ensuring technical and program execution excellence. The Learning Solution Architect helps to establish corporate and customer roadmaps for learning solutions and leverages project and corporate resources to achieve objectives. Included are the core goals of supporting Aptima technology transition, promoting scientific and technical advancement, increasing revenue, and ensuring that Aptima remains, or becomes, a market leader in learning and training programs.

Responsibilities

Customer Engagement

  • Serves as a customer thought partner using a consultative approach
  • Engages with customers from initial engagement and solution/technology demonstration through proposal support and execution
  • Assesses clients' learning requirements and organizational strategy

Learning Solution Design & Development

  • Develops and presents a high-level concept of operations and/or design of learning solutions to clients, addressing approach rationale, assumptions, benefits, return on investment, and tradeoffs
  • Leads the conceptualization of new or expanded learning delivery models
  • Defines a roadmap for learning solutions that delivers against defined learning and/or organizational objectives for the target customer
  • Identifies the most appropriate capabilities and/or technologies (Aptima or 3rd party) to satisfy learning solution requirements

Business Development

  • Works across Aptima to maintain awareness of Aptima's unique value proposition and convey that as part of customer engagement and capture activities
  • Maintains awareness of trends in emerging technology adoption across relevant customer segments to inform new solution approaches
  • Works with appropriate Aptima leadership to manage all learning solutions-related IP and/or licensing issues
  • Benchmarks learning services/solutions competitors
  • Serves as an external thought leader for new ideas and best practices
  • Establishes basis of estimates (BOEs) for learning solutions and supports development of cost estimates and solution pricing
  • Leads proposal development efforts for learning solution development
  • Meets or exceeds Aptima pipeline objectives (established during yearly goal setting)
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship required and/or the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • BA, BS, or equivalent degree plus 5 years relevant experience from date of relevant BA/BS degree
  • Masters' Degree in I/O Psychology, Human Factors Psychology, Educational Psychology or related fields
  • Experience and education may be substituted by outstanding history of achievement
