Role & Responsibilities

• Assist the Sales, Estimating and Operations departments to develop technical solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Assist with pre-sales opportunities by working to draft security project designs via tools such as Bluebeam Revu.
• Assist in preparation of accurate and detailed cost estimates and proposals for low voltage solutions, including security system installations, network installations, audio visual installation, all upgrades and service.
• Assist in obtaining quotes from vendors and subcontractors to ensure proper pricing.
• Maintain current knowledge of the equipment and technologies company is specialized in implementing on projects to ensure consistency of design.
• Assist on multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to maintain quality of work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Act as a resource for discovery and information gathering on client calls, walk throughs and presentations.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience is required.
• Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical specifications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
• Ability to effectively present technical information to prospects and existing customers, peer employees, and managers.
• Good understanding of access control, IP video, audio, intercom and alarm systems.
• Understanding of video storage requirements and POE requirements in relation to IP video cameras and access control equipment.
• Able to determine if additional information is needed to develop a solution that meets the customer's requirements.
• Knowledge of components within networking (data switch, router, and firewall)
• A good methodical approach to tasks, ability and interest to learn new technologies.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction specifications, drawings and blueprints to ensure all security related tasks are accounted for and within budget.
