Avance Cabinetry is Hiring a Receiving Associate Near River, MA

Description

Avance Cabinetry delivers quality materials and pristine finishes for cabinetry that is functional & purposeful utilizing an advanced manufacturing process for efficiency and traditional woodworking methods for stability and craftsmanship.

We are looking for a Receiving Associate to join our team. The Receiving Associate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments of goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in inventory management. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments of goods, verifying the accuracy of contents against shipping documents such as purchase orders, invoices, or shipping manifests, all while following and completing the daily schedule. 
  • Accurately record and verify SKU numbers and quantities for production orders.
  • Verify production orders against mod reports, and record and communicate any discrepancies.
  • Color code paperwork by daily production color, and stamp and organize this paperwork by type of modification.
  • Ensure that received goods meet quality standards and specifications. Report any quality issues or concerns to the relevant departments for further investigation or action. Request replacements as needed.
  • Disperse products to the appropriate locations
  • Maintain effective communication with warehouse supervisors, purchasing staff, and other team members to coordinate receiving activities and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner. 
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries during receiving activities. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to receiving operations. 
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks safely and efficiently to move received goods to designated storage areas. 
  • Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and free of clutter to facilitate efficient workflow and maintain a safe working environment. 
  • Other tasks as assigned. 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification. 
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a receiving role.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus.
  • Ability to accurately interpret shipping documents and product specifications. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. 
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
  • Ability to lift up to 49 lbs. and operate material handling equipment safely. 
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for warehouse operations. 
  • Safety shoes are required.

*Specific duties and requirements may vary based on the employer and the production workload. Candidates must be willing to work in other departments in the warehouse as needed. 

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday. 7:00am to 3:30pm
  • Overtime when needed
