We are adding to our team! Do you enjoy creating new programs and engaging individual's in new activities? This position may be for you!! Typical hours will be Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30-4:30pm. The Activity and Life Enrichment Coordinator will be directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of Achieve Services new Life Enrichment Program. Responsible for developing and facilitating recreational groups and programs which meet the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs and desires of the participants of Achieve Services, Inc. Major Areas of Accountability: Program Development and Oversight
Develop groups and programs in coordination with the needs, abilities, and interests of the participants.
Implement an interactive daily program, including large and small groups, special events, and community outings.
Research new ideas for both on-site and off-site programs and activities, taking into consideration participants’ suggestions.
Initiate and plan the monthly calendar as well as communicate effectively with the staff regarding daily programs and activities.
Work collaboratively with Achieve staff members to coordinate programming, including scheduling of staff to assist with activities, coordinating best times for activities, etc.
Assists with planning, coordinating, selecting, driving and/or escorting participants on vehicles to/from outings.
Encourage participation in activities.
Assist in developing key performance indicators to determine program goals and milestones.
Build and maintain good relationships with vendors and businesses who come on-site to do various activities, in addition to outings.
Evaluate programs that have been developed to determine successes and changes needed for future implementation.
Perform other work duties and responsibilities as required.
Volunteer Coordination and Oversight
Develop, build, and maintain positive, long-term relationships with volunteers.
Interview potential volunteers and match their talents with organizational needs.
Process, organize, and maintain volunteer paperwork.
Supervise all volunteers to efficiently develop and carry out activities of the program.
Track all volunteer hours and create reports.
Facilitate good communication with and between volunteers.

DOT Certified, or ability to become certified within 4 months of hire.
Education and Experience Needed: DOT Certified, or ability to become certified within 4 months of hire. 6 months of experience working with an aging population or adults with developmental disabilities. Preferred experience: 1 or more years of previous experience in Therapeutic Recreation or similar role. Previous volunteer management experience Previous experience with coordinating activities both on-site and community based 2 years of experience in working with adults with developmental disabilities.
