Salary: $97,032 – $145,549 annually

Summary:

As the Senior Systems Engineer – Endpoint Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring a modern workplace experience for all TRWD employees. This position is pivotal in overseeing all technology related to end-user computing, encompassing a wide range of responsibilities including unified endpoint management, VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), software packaging, configuration and patching, cloud print, endpoint security management, and endpoint analytics and reporting.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of a modern workplace environment to enhance productivity, efficiency, and user experience for TRWD employees.
  • Oversee and optimize unified endpoint management systems to ensure seamless device provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Manage VDI infrastructure, including deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of virtual desktop environments.
  • Implement and maintain endpoint configuration and patch management systems, leveraging tools such as Windows Autopatch and Microsoft Intune to ensure security compliance and system integrity.
  • Coordinate software packaging processes to streamline application delivery. Maintain an updated configuration of all desktop applications to ensure optimal performance and adherence to District standards.
  • Configuration management for Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Edge, Remote Access, and other endpoint software.
  • Manage universal print services to provide reliable and efficient printing capabilities for end-users across the organization.
  • Lead endpoint security management initiatives, including antivirus/antimalware solutions, encryption, Endpoint DLP, and identity and access management.
  • Develop and implement endpoint analytics and reporting mechanisms to monitor device performance, security posture, and user behavior.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess end-user needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement innovative solutions.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices related to end-user computing and endpoint management.
  • Oversee the deployment of physical endpoints. This includes outlining the deployment strategy, scheduling, enablement, and execution of planned PC refreshes, vendor management, and coordination with internal IT teams to ensure successful deployment of devices.

Required Experience:

  • Five (5) years or more experience working in an end-user computing or infrastructure role.
  • Proven experience and demonstrated aptitude with strategic decision-making, planning, and governance for customer experience and IT support operations.
  • Expert level experience using Microsoft Intune and Windows 11.
  • Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office application configuration and management.
  • Familiarity with universal print solutions (e.g., Microsoft Universal Print, PaperCut, PrinterLogic, uniFLOW).
  • Knowledge of endpoint security management principles and tools, including antivirus, encryption such as bitlocker/AIP, and identity management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of VDI technologies and best practices, such as VMware Horizon or Azure Virtual Desktops.

Required Education/Certification/License:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or equivalent work experience in the enterprise technology industry
  • Valid Texas driver’s license
  • Must pass a Texas DPS/FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) criminal history background check and maintain CJIS eligibility.
