Kodak Alaris Colorado is the home of Kodak Moments Thermal Media Manufacturing and the Windsor Regional Distribution Center.

The operations are responsible for the manufacturing and distribution of thermal media for photographic applications.

Kodak Alaris is seeking a Safety Professional IH for Windsor, Colorado’s solvent coating and warehouse operations to manage safety and health risk, hazards, and compliance, and foster a positive safety culture.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure health and safety compliance programs meet applicable regulations and company requirements.
  • Ensure workplace hazards and controls are adequately addressed to reduce risk.
  • Develop and maintain an ISO 45001 health and safety management system.
  • Design and implement workplace processes and procedures to help protect employees from potentially hazardous work conditions.
  • Provide EHS input to workplace processes, procedures through all stages of the safety life cycle to minimize risk. Proactively manage change to control new hazards and minimize risk.
  • Lead incident investigations for injuries, near misses, and chemical releases, identify root causes and corrective actions to minimize recurrence, and track action items to completion.
  • Stay current with proposed and effective changes to health and safety requirements and applicable emerging technologies.

Apply industry best practices, accepted risk assessment and hazard analysis methodologies, and principles such as prevention through design to minimize hazards and risks based on issues and concerns at the plant site.

  • Manage health and safety training for employees including applicability, content development, delivery, and tracking.
  • Design and propose strategies to maintain and continuously improve health and safety performance. Update Standard Operating Procedures supporting health and safety aspects of all job functions.
  • Interact with all levels of the organization to foster a proactive, inclusive, and positive safety culture.
  • Manage health and safety documentation including regulatory reports, records, operating procedures, and work instructions in established databases.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders including Corporate EHS, HR, and regulatory agencies. Participate in Company EHS Governance Council and other corporate EHS initiatives, over time.
  • Manage non-conformances and non-compliances from internal and external audits and inspections. Participate in site inspections by regulatory agencies.

SKILLS AND / OR KNOWLEDGE SPECIFICATIONS

  • Minimum two years’ work experience required (preferred 5 years) with the following competencies :
  • Chemistry background strenuously preferred.
  • Work experience with risk assessment and hazard analysis methodologies preferred.
  • Work experience with industrial hygiene and ergonomics programs preferred.
  • Bilingual English Spanish preferred.
  • First-Aid Team Member and backup trainer preferred.
  • Strong organization, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented and has ability to multitask to ensure Health and Safety compliance.
  • Computer experience using Microsoft Office, adobe, and database software.
  • Ability to perform field work and site inspections, collect and analyze data and report findings.
  • Committed to providing a safe workplace for all employees and seeks to drive continuous improvement supporting the manufacturing operation.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE SPECIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Engineering, or similar field.
  • Certified Safety Professional preferred.
  • Additionally, ability to obtain Certified Industrial Hygienist preferred.
  • Awareness of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations, with a focus on preventing injuries while protecting employee safety in the workplace.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver employee training materials and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure workforce understanding of health and safety regulations and their role to maintain compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and utilize analytical instruments to evaluate workplace hazards (noise, dust, chemical vapor, ionizing radiation, welding fumes, etc.).
  • Willing to gain experience acquiring and maintaining ISO 45001 : 2018 certification (Health & Safety Management Systems) for a complex manufacturing site.

Compensation :

$68-82k based on experience
