Our team, supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC)'s Program of Record (POR), has an immediate need for a Shipboard Technician Department Lead to manage and oversee technicians supporting with POR systems before, during, and after field deployments and for break/fix needs. The Lead will be required to gather information and report the status of ship's systems as needed, as well as interact with MSC leadership to ensure StratasCorp's support aligns with MSC's needs. The primary location will be onsite at StratasCorp's Chesapeake, VA office location. Primary responsibilities may include:

* Oversee POR team daily operations, including management of lifecycle upgrades, software/hardware installations, break/fix support, and solution development
* Manage team workloads to ensure all contractually required tasks are completed within the scope of tasks outlined in the contract
* Collaborate with the Installation and Sustainment team leads to plan for, report on, and complete required POR system tasking assigned in both CONUS and OCONUS locations
* Manage and track technicians' job compliance with required training, certification maintenance, and position qualifications
* Work with MSC civilian and US Navy military representatives for near and long-term planning, status reporting, issue reporting, trend analysis, team logistics requirements, improvement recommendations, and artifact submissions
* Ensure Quality Assurance standards are met or exceeded
* Prepare and collect data points required to compile information for and submit contractually required deliverables

* Must possess current IAT III or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M, and be able to get appropriate Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire
* Must have 7 years or more of progressive IT experience supporting maintenance and rollouts of various IT and communications systems (COMPOSE/CANES preferred) to include some or all of the following: ADNS, COMPOSE, CANES, CENTRIXS, GCCS, CND)
* Must have experience managing and leading a team of IT technicians
* Should have some project coordination experience
* Must be able to travel to support mission requirements (should be less than 10%)
