Novo Building Products is an industry-leading manufacturer and distributor of stair parts, mouldings, doors, and specialty millwork, along with a variety of board products. Based in Zeeland, Michigan, Novo Building Products operates Ornamental Decorative Millwork, L.J. Smith Stair Systems, and Novo Direct.

This role pays $15 per hour, shift is Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm.
This position will be for maintaining the building and assisting where needed in shipments and labeling.
Essential Responsibilities:

• Keep building inside and out in a clean and orderly condition; maintaining and repairing building and property as needed.
• Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning/sweeping floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
• Maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
• Communicates supply order needs to Supervisor
• Gather and empty trash receptacles located inside and outside of the warehouse.

Basic Qualifications:

• Effectively perform all essential functions, including physical requirements
• Basic math, interpersonal/team and reasoning skills
• Ability to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions in English.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Flexibility in scheduling - able to work overtime as needed.
• Use of proper PPE and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in maintenance and/or janitorial.

• Must be able to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust.
• 100%: Stand, handle or feel, squeeze or grasp
• 80%: Reaching with hands and arms, depth perception
• 50%: Walk, repetitive motion, operate moving equipment
• 10: Working bent at waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bending or twisting
• Lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Lift, push or pull 75-100 lbs. with assistance.
