Central School District 51 is Hiring a Recess/Lunch Supervisor Near Washington, IL
TITLE: Recess/Lunch Supervisor Part-Time - approximately 3.25 hours per day $14.25/hour Qualifications
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
Successful completion of fingerprint based criminal background check (IL State Police and FBI), sex offender and violent youth offender screening, and employment physical.
REPORTS TO: Principal and Assistant Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Be aware of and implement all site playground and cafeteria/lunchroom rules and regulations.
Utilize appropriate disciplinary procedures and techniques in accordance with the school site discipline plan.
Supervise and monitor students during assigned playground and/or cafeteria supervision periods.
Be aware of and enforce school safety standards at all times.
Report any unsafe playground or cafeteria conditions, including equipment, to an administrator immediately.
Assist students in resolving conflict and promote healthy interactions among students
Facilitate & supervise efficient and orderly transitions
Establish and maintain a calm, pleasant, and safe atmosphere in the cafeteria and playground
Assist with set up/clean up and management of recess equipment
Circulate among the tables during the meal period so as to be available to help children who need assistance and resolve any minor problems that arise.
Organize students for orderly purchase of food and arrival to the cafeteria.
Organize students for the disposal of food waste, trays, and utensils, as well as the orderly dismissal from the cafeteria.
Assist in the custodial staff in the organization and cleanliness of the lunchroom, including general cleaning and wiping down of tables and chairs.
Maintain satisfactory attendance.
Note: The above description is illustrative of most tasks and responsibilities. It is not all inclusive of every task or responsibility. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 3.25 hours on all days that school lunch is served. 9 months - school calendar year when students are in attendance and institute or SIP days as requested by the principal/assistant principal. Hourly rate approved by the Board of Education. EVALUATION: All non-certified employees receive a minimum of one written evaluation per year. The Recess/Lunch Supervisor will be evaluated by the principal/assistant principal.
