Annual Non-Exempt Salary: $37,850.50

Job Duties:

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Complete intake on individuals being served.
• Obtain releases and documentation from consumer as needed.
• Provide information, referral, and assistance in navigating the MLTC enrollment and appeal processes. 
• Contact organizations or agencies to mediate to resolve problems.
• Promptly respond to calls received through the ICAN Helpline and forwarded to advocate.
• Follow up with consumers and agencies.
• Document electronically all activities and maintain paper files as required.
• Under the supervision of the Program Director, provide information, advice, referrals and advocacy to callers.
• Establish and maintain working knowledge of available MLTC plans and their enrollment processes.
• Provide community outreach.
• Provide educational sessions to inform the community about the ICAN program and its services.
• Prepare training materials and fact sheets as needed.
• Attend ICAN meetings and training sessions.

Education Requirements: 

• College degree in relative field preferred.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Related experience may be considered in lieu of higher education.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicaid Long Term Care Plans; Disability and Americans with Disabilities Act awareness is desired.
• Experience with community networking, collaboration, public speaking, and working with diverse populations. 
• Mediation, negotiation, planning, organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel independently.
