Windstar Cruises is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst focusing on sales data as it relates to revenue performance and goals, you will be responsible for analyzing sales data, creating reports, and providing insights to help drive growth in our sales channels. Your primary responsibilities will include collecting, analyzing, and interpreting sales data to identify market and account trends and opportunities for improvement and ensure business is tracking to goals set forth.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting with analysis & commentary.
  • Collect and analyze sales data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Develop recurring and up to date reports and live dashboards to track sales performance and revenue metrics.
  • Work closely with the sales team to provide data-driven insights and recommendations based on campaign and account level performance .
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate reporting into other commercial data in order to intelligent optimize sales strategies and improve sales channel performance.
  • Assist in sales budgeting and forecasting to support overall business objectives.
  • Assist with annual sales and trade budgeting and monthly forecasting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in sales operations.
  • Manipulate, format, and cleanse large and disparate data sets to monitor data integrity and validate data to be processed in data pipelines and for integration with reporting dashboards.
  • Recommend and work with IT to leverage AI tools where possible to analyze patterns, sentiment and prioritize revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Work closely with internal teams to build and improve reporting and dashboards that deliver insights on key performance indicators.
  • Create ad-hoc analytical and reporting requests.
  • Monthly Reporting for our National and Key Accounts partners, as well as, global GSA’s and trade partners
  • Monthly Reporting for our Regional Sales Manager, C& I and other sales channels including global sales team and channels
  • Provide regular competitive analysis on pricing and promotional activity seen in the marketplace.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis on variety of topics as needed by the business including but not limited to sales trends and anomalies, channel mix, competitive pricing, discount / commission spend, optimal booking curves, etc.
  • Hands on data mining and analysis to execute projects.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Mathematics / Statistics, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in similar role, Experience with travel revenue management preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different functions and effectively influence senior business partners.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in visualization tools as Power BI or similar. Must be able to produce clear reports and presentations using MS PowerPoint or similar.
  • Preferred but not required: Experience using python for data analysis, data-models/database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Attention to detail; Thorough and meticulous.
  • Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines & prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work well on a team and independently.
  • Proven experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably in a sales or revenue-focused role
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficient with power BI reporting and dashboards (training available)
  • Salesforce reporting knowledge preferred ,or other CRM tools used to support contact management and communications to trade (training available)
