Orion Laboratories is seeking an experienced Medical Courier to join our growing team, in Baton Rouge, LA. As an Orion Medical Courier, you will be responsible for the pick-up, transport and delivery of medical specimens while delivering exceptional customer service to our clients.

SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM shifts and 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM shifts

Saturdays 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 6:00 AM - 1:30 PM shifts

Sundays 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 6:00 AM - 1:30 PM shifts

*Rotation of shifts based on schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete a daily pick-up schedule in a timely manner based on route software system
• Delivers all daily pick-ups to the laboratory safe and efficiently when prompted by depo stops or at the end of your shift
• Deliver exceptional customer service to the clients while picking up specimen
• Evaluate traffic delays, alternative routes and weather conditions as needed
• Works directly with dispatch team for additional pick-ups or STATS
• Some routes require driving to cities outside of Baton Rouge, LA
• Service with a smile!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred but not mandatory
• Previous experience with medical transport
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Dependable and assertive to properly handle unexpected issues
• Experience using an iPhone or Android for logistical software

BENEFITS:

• $14-$17 per hour plus mileage expenses if using personal vehicle
• Included with this position is a company vehicle to use on the route
