Rosenboom Machine and Tool is Hiring an Accounting Specialist Near Sheldon, IA
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform invoicing of customer shipments;
- Ensure all additional billing is added to invoices, ie. Freight, pallets, surcharges.
- Organize and maintain packing slip/BOL packets from shipments.
- Receives calls from customers. This may involve answering invoice questions, fixing discrepancies, as well as additional complaints that may arise.
- Issue credits to customer for returned goods per customer debit memos or return authorizations. Following up and handling discrepancies between credits and Rosenboom debits;
- Follow-up on unpaid customer invoices accordingly with Rosenboom’s Credit and Collection Policy.
- Enters cash receipts into the ERP system and apply cash correctly per customer documentation.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Additional Accounting duties may be assigned.
- Provide support during absences for Accounting team members, where applicable.
- Practices good work habits including, but not limited to, being productive and efficient, staying busy, being dependable and organized in work area
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products suite (primarily Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint)
- Training and/or experience relative to the primary responsibilities of the position is required;
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing services to internal customers. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of satisfaction;
- Must be able to work independently and perform a variety of tasks and assignments simultaneously;
- Demonstrates commitment to the realization of company goals;
- Works with a minimal amount of supervision, able to work in a team setting;
- Understanding the implications of new information and technology for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making;
