Position Summary

The Turf & Utility Sales Professional provides product expertise and support to dealership personnel and customers in selling commercial and residential mowing and other small ag equipment. Key personal qualities include confidence, competitiveness, driven to succeed, strong communication skills, and be a team player. Critical decision-making skills are also necessary for this position and a desire to constantly learn and improve to strive towards excellence. A strong work ethic, moral standards with a high level of professionalism, and pride in the quality of work performed will lead to success for this individual.

Job Responsibilities

  • Represent the dealership in the sale of residential lawn, compact utility tractor, skid loader, and commercial mowing equipment to customers in a defined sales area
  • Create, develop, and maintain customer accounts in the above segments
  • Know and follow a defined sales process
  • Maintain product knowledge on residential lawn, compact utility tractor, skid loader, and commercial mowing equipment and reports on competitive marketing and product activities
  • Ability to convert product knowledge to features and benefits to the customer and develop a knowledge of the used equipment market
  • Maintain and reports all customer activities and trends in assigned territory to sales management
  • Understand various financing options available on equipment
  • Organize product demonstrations and clinics for customers and participates in local trade shows and dealership promotional events
  • Maintain dealership vehicle and other equipment as assigned
  • Exhibit outstanding communication skills and cooperates with other departments and locations within the dealership
  • Promote teamwork, maintains a positive attitude, and supports the concept of one face to our customers

Qualifications

  • 1 years equipment sales experience is preferred
  • Understand of commercial mowing products and landscape industry
  • Excellent customer service and relationship skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of database software, online parts books, etc. and ability to use standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
