**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team.

Cash Handling (drawer balancing, safe deposits, etc.) is accountable for funds. • Assist in training, coaching and development of newly hired Associates. • Taste product to ensure quality standards are met. • Is the “role-model” for outstanding customer service and overall Associate standards. • Ensures cleanliness, health and safety standards are maintained at all times. • Other job-related activities as requested by Store Leader.

**Duties:**

- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions with customers

- Scan goods and collect payments

- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers

- Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area

- Keep reports of transactions

- Bag or wrap purchases for customers

- Upsell products and services when appropriate

**Qualifications:**

- Proven work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role

- Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g., cash register, scanners)

- Strong communication and time management skills

- Customer satisfaction-oriented

- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly

- Knowledge of Aloha POS system is a plus

- Familiarity with retail math principles

- Experience in handling cash register and cash handling procedures

- Previous experience in a grocery store or food preparation setting is advantageous

- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
