The Ottauquechee School is seeking a permanent substitute teacher/paraprofessional for the 2024-25 school year. We are a PreK-5 school with an enrollment of just under 200 students and a highly collaborative culture. As a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school, we believe that all students can achieve academic and social success given appropriate support. Our teachers build scholars capacity for higher order thinking, prioritize student-engaged assessment, use data to inform instruction, and above all, model and foster a growth mindset.
Our two permanent subs are integral parts of our team who form relationships with students across the school and ensure consistency in routines during teacher and paraprofessional absences. Nature-based learning is a part of our program. Candidates with experience in environmental/outdoor education are encouraged to apply. Duties will include teaching in classrooms from PreK to 5th grade, as well as related arts (music, art, P.E.
and library). Assignments may also include supporting students with special needs in small groups or 1:1.
