Job Duties: The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures and related techniques, including, but not limited to applying sonic energy to produce data at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. All procedures are completed in accordance with American Society of Radiologic Technologist and other regulatory agency protocols and organizational policies, procedures and protocols.
Education Requirements:
Required: Formal training in Sonography at an approved Sonographer school.
Preferred: Registry eligible in diagnostic imaging or other modalities
Licensure/Certification Registration Requirements:
Required: RDMS/ARDMS
Preferred: SDMS and/or ARRT in diagnostic imaging or other modalities
Required Experience:
Required: Hospital or Medical office OB/GYN ultrasonography experience
Preferred: Proficient in other ultrasound studies (eg., DVT, Abdominal, small parts) including ultrasound guided biopsies
