Position Overview & Responsibilities:

The Sr. Software Solutions Architect will be a member of the information systems management team and will work with a team of 10-15 software developers as well as an offshore team. Candidate will be challenged with taking a company's business strategy and enhancing the current information technology systems architecture to support that strategy and the growing business needs of the company and its clients.

• Participates in the functional analysis
• Defines the technical architecture
• Performs high-level and mid-level designs and prototyping of new ideas/designs
• Performs design reviews and code inspections
• Estimates development effort
• Keeps up to date with evolving technologies and infrastructure development
• Assists in complex, detailed design and programming
• Responsible for overall design and code quality
• Ensures that the development follows architectural and development standards and objectives
• Act as a technical resource person for the project teams
• Writes required technical documents (Design documents, API specs, etc.)
• Analyzes the user and software requirements and communicates as required with the customer team
• Any other related duties as may be assigned

Skills & Abilities:

• Extensive background in ASP.Net and C# development, in-depth familiarity with .Net Core, SQL Server, MVC, Angular, ReactJS, WebAPI, Networking and Design Patterns
• Experience within Azure (preferable), AWS, or GCP
• Hands-on experience in complex systems application architecture and design
• Expertise in various Architectural Patterns like SOA, Micro Services, Event Driven
• Past leadership skills are desired
• Experience with test-driven development and agile methodology an asset
• Ability to mentor new technologies and champion ideas throughout the development organization
• Background in operational research an asset
• Strong customer focus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Preferably an MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science
• 10 years of experience in software development and maintenance
