A gym equipment company in the city of Redlands is looking for a Shipping Lead to join their team. As a Shipping Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient shipping of our products, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Shift: Mon - Fri 9am to 5:30pm
Pay: $18/hr.
Temp to Hire
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Forklift Sit Down operating
• Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring accurate labeling, documentation, and compliance with shipping regulations and requirements.
• Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments, including inspecting packages for damages or discrepancies.
• Utilize shipping software and systems to generate shipping labels, track shipments, and update inventory records.
• Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
• Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate order fulfillment, resolve shipping issues, and maintain open lines of communication.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all shipping activities, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms.
• Conduct periodic inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and identify any discrepancies or shortages.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized shipping area, including the proper storage and organization of shipping supplies and materials.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols when handling and moving heavy or hazardous materials.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in shipping and logistics, preferably within a warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with shipping software and systems, including generating shipping labels and tracking shipments.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Physical ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
