As a Sortation Lead at Better Trucks, you will be responsible for leading and training new team members. Follow appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) as guideline for operating and maintain, equipment. Help oversee the day-to-day operations of the sorting process within our Hillside facility. You will help lead a team of sorting operators, ensure smooth workflow, and maintain accurate sorting of items for efficient delivery.
Responsibilities:

• Perform warehouse functions include scanning, labeling, and sortation of packages.
• Follow appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) as guideline for operating and maintain, equipment.
• Determine employee training needs to produce continuous development plans.
• Responsible for supervising and training employees effectively.
• Communicate and perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions.
• Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Supervise daily activities of warehouse coordinators to ensure that all assigned duties are accomplished safely and timely.
• Ensure all employees adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Conduct performance evaluations and resolve individual and group performance issues.
• Perform cleaning duties related to warehouse equipment and general housekeeping as required.
• Participate in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and perform any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or related field is a plus.
• 2 years of experience in sortation, logistics, or a similar role.
• Familiarity with sorting equipment and technologies, including conveyor systems and sorting algorithms.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team effectively.
• Demonstrated leadership and critical thinking skills.
• Is comfortable leading and collaborating.
• A natural problem solver with a positive attitude.
• Experienced in handling items, including loading, selecting, collating, docking, and racking.
