The Department of Accounting at Central Connecticut State University seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for part-time appointments as adjunct faculty in the discipline of Accounting.
The Department of Accounting is housed within the School of Business, which is AACSB accredited. Courses are taught on campus or in a hybrid format, and are offered both days and evenings. The number of positions varies by semester, and depends upon the needs of the department. Appointments are for one semester, and may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance. We are especially interested in practitioners who have professional and teaching expertise in the areas of:
* Financial Accounting/Financial Statement Analysis
* Auditing/Internal Auditing
* Taxation of Individuals, Corporations, Pass-Through Entities
* Accounting Information Systems
Required Qualifications:
* Master's degree or higher in accounting or in a related field
* Professional experience that is current, and substantial in terms of duration and level of responsibility
* Commitment to serving culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse communities.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Professional Certification (CPA, CIA, CMA, etc.)
* Have an ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning
* Evidence of quality teaching experience.
In addition to practitioners, we welcome applications from academics who have a terminal degree and record of research in the field.
