Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is Hiring a Technical Services Representative - Part-time Near Springfield, MO
- High school diploma, some college preferred.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work 25 hours per week
- Weekend / Holiday rotation
- Must be able to work 4:30p – 10:30p Monday through Friday
- Must be able to work 8:00a – 4:30p Saturday
- Science background preferred but not required
Performs computer-assisted labeling of blood products.
Operates the sterile connection devise and QC on it.
Prepares filtered red blood cells.
Operates the hematology analyzer to include startup, operation and shutdown.
Performs bacterial detection testing on platelet products.
Prepares baby quads.
Disposes of products in the computer system program.
Provides excellent customer service, cultivating positive working relationships with all staff, volunteers and external customers.
Exhibits safety, accuracy, respectfulness and efficiencies within specific job tasks.
Assists with special projects as assigned.
Requires regular standing, reaching and bending to obtain supplies.
Requires light lifting.
Requires manual dexterity and color and visual acuity.
