WILMINGTON HEALTH is Hiring an Education coordinator Near Wilmington, NC
Purpose :
Provide continuing coding education to coding specialist.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities :
- Works closely with Team Lead
- Provides re-education to Coding Specialists based on broad audit results
- Provides workflow education, building and improving Team protocols to meet accuracy and efficiency standards
- Provides information to Team on code updates for HCPCS, CPT, and ICD-10-CM throughout the year; works closely with Team Lead to provide the same information for distribution to Providers and other Departments
- Provides specific charge edit details and scenarios to Team Lead and Supervisor to build RCx edits, improving the percentage of clean claims
- Communicate with peers and other departments in a professional manner
- Performs charge entry and coder duties as assigned
- Maintains patient confidentiality
Other Duties :
All other duties as assigned by Department Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
Required :
- Accurate data entry skills
- Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers
