Wingspan Life Resources is Hiring a PT or On-call DSP - Arden Hills - $1500 New Hire Incentive Near Arden, MN

Direct Support Professional (DSP) - $18.55/hrWingspan Life Resources has openings for Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for Part Time and On Call shifts providing services to people with developmental and other disabilities in our group homes in Arden Hills. Experience is not required and paid training is provided.
New Hire Incentive Bonus: New hires can also take advantage of our $1500 sign-on bonus for all our DSP positions: $500 after the first 4 months of service, $500 again after 8 months, and an additional $500 after 1 year. What You Will Do: DSPs are the foundation of Wingspan’s services. DSPs assist residents with daily routines; home care; personal care such as showering and bathing, brushing teeth; and medical administration. They build relationships, implement individual program plans, participate with our clients in recreational activities, and perform other duties as necessary. Direct Support Professionals are responsible for protecting and promoting the health, safety, and well-being of each individual.
Generous Benefits Package: Employees scheduled to work 20 hours or more are offered: PTO Accrual, Company Paid Life, Short-term, Long-term disability insurance, and enrollment in our 401(k) plan fully vested and matched at 4%.
Employees scheduled to work 30 hours or more are offered: Medical and Dental Insurance, PTO Accrual, Company Paid Life, Short-term, Long-term disability insurance, and enrollment in our 401(k) plan fully vested and matched at 4%.
Qualifications:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate, read, and write in English
  • Must be comfortable with and willing to assist with client's personal cares such as bathing, showering, brushing teeth, etc.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lb
  • Ability to complete tasks such as shoveling, mowing, vacuuming, shopping, and pushing a wheelchair.
  • The ability to successfully pass a background check as determined by the Department of Human Services
  • A valid Driver's License, reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance, and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Check
  • The ability to have passion for helping individuals feel happy, successful, and safe in their lives is highly desired.
