The Department of Physical Therapy at WKU invites applications for an 11- month non-tenure eligible faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor beginning August 1, 2024. Responsibilities will be primarily focused on teaching entry-level (DPT) clinical discipline students in the classroom, laboratory, simulation and/or practice setting in one or more of the following areas: Gross Anatomy, Physical Modalities, Pharmacology, Cardiopulmonary, Neuromuscular Assessment and Rehabilitation, Research in Physical Therapy, Integumentary, The successful candidate must also possess the ability to mentor students and serve the University, profession, and community, as well as work well with faculty within the Program, College, and University.

Job Requirements:

Qualified candidates will be graduates of a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist program

A doctorate in Physical Therapy or an earned doctorate in a related discipline is required for this clinical faculty position appointment.

The candidate must have a current license to practice physical therapy and be eligible for licensure by the Kentucky Board of Physical Therapy

A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a licensed physical therapist

Experience as a clinical instructor
