EHC is currently seeking a Painter for an oil/gas client located in Houston. Temp to hire.
JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is currently recruiting for a Painter to join their 2nd shift team. The responsibilities will include cleaning and prepping for blast and paint parts. Must be able to use spray equipment to apply epoxy and urethane paint on parts per specification. Must be able to blast with 90 psi hose able to wear full face mask for painting. Responsible for the efficient and safe execution of preparation, painting and maintenance tasks as assigned.
Job Duties:
- Perform surface preparation activities, which include masking and sanding of product prior to painting or sandblasting.
- Perform sandblasting functions.
- Perform spray painting functions related preparatory undercoating, preservatives and lubricants
- Clean and maintain paint shop equipment such as air lines, fluid lines, paint pots, paint guns and respirators
- Clean and store empty paint containers for proper disposal
- Maintain and change paint booth media filters and surface protectant coatings as needed
- Properly contain hazardous waste generated from normal paint shop operations
- Under general supervision, spray paint small, component parts prior to assembly and final coating
- Follow all safety and environment practices and report any unsafe conditions, broken and/or malfunctioning equipment
- Perform other duties as required by management
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous Industrial painting experience
- Previous experience in painting small component parts
- The right candidate will need to pass a respiratory test
SCHEDULE: SECOND SHIFT - 3:00 PM TO 11:30 PM WITH POSSIBLE END TIME OF 1:30 AM (DEPENDENT ON WORKLOAD)NIGHT SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: $3 PER HOUR
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
