Position Overview:
As an Apprentice Toolmaker at Clow Stamping Company, you will undergo on-the-job training to develop your skills in tool and die making and metalworking. Under the guidance of experienced toolmakers, you will gain hands-on experience in fabricating, maintaining, and repairing tooling components used in our manufacturing processes. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals with a passion for engineering and manufacturing to learn from industry experts and build a rewarding career in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn and apply the principles of tool and die making to support the production of precision metal stampings and assemblies for OEMs.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand project requirements and ensure accurate production of tooling.
• Perform precision measurements and dimensional inspections to maintain quality standards.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development by actively participating in training programs and acquiring new skills relevant to the role.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or coursework in machining, metalworking, or mechanical engineering is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in working with machinery and tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic math skills and the ability to perform calculations and measurements accurately.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detail for operating hand tools and power tools with precision.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and collaborate effectively with coworkers.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.

Shift Information:

• Must be able to train on first shift (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM) and work second shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) upon completion of training.
