Qualifications

VNE, LLC is looking for a HR and Security Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years’ experience in Human Resources (Highly Desired), willing to offset degree with additional years of experience.
  • PHR or SPHR Certification

Experience:

  • Experience executing HR programs, such as the American Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodation interactive process, submitting short-term disability claims, and similar programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills
  • Must be US Citizen and Clearable, preferably to the TS Level.

Additional Experience Preferred:

  • DOD Security Clearance
  • Human Resources experience with a government contracting company.
  • Experience with Paycom
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, particularly SharePoint. Knowledge of SharePoint List design/management, permissions, and Flows a plus.

Job Description:

This HR & Security Manager position will physically report to VNE’s office in Charleston, SC. The HR Manager will be a key part of the corporate staff and must facilitate an outstanding employee experience for all our employees. The HR Manager will report to the Business Resource Director and be responsible for various administrative HR functions, to include HRIS system management, onboarding/orientation, benefits administration, salary administration, performance management, employee relations, recognition programs, regulatory compliance and offboarding.

The position will also include tasks that support the company’s security programs at the direction of the company Facility Security Officer (FSO).

Human Resources duties include but are not limited to:

  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and reliability.
  • Maintains the human resource information system that meets the organization's personnel information needs as well as employee personnel files.
  • Process personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Execute new hire orientations and onboarding as well as the termination process (live and via MS Teams).
  • Administer benefits programs such as life, health, dental, 401(k), PTO, leave of absences, and employee assistance; participates in the renewals and enrollments of those programs, and maintains a relationship with brokers/third parties.
  • Coordinate with payroll analysts to assure benefit deductions begin and end properly.
  • Coordinate with consultant and provide required data for annual compliance filings including EEO-1, VETS, AAP development as well as maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters (e.g. OSHA reporting).
  • Participate and support performance reviews and the compensation planning cycle.
  • Routinely reviews and makes recommendations to senior leadership for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
  • Works directly with supervisors to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
  • Accurately audit and reconcile monthly benefit invoices and report/correct variances and discrepancies.
  • Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.
  • Create ad-hoc reports for managers and directors as requested, as well as routine status reports.
  • Consistently exhibit good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and general HR practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Security duties include but are not limited to:

  • Accomplish required Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) “FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities” training.
  • Obtain and maintain Facility Clearance Level (FCL).
  • Obtain and maintain DCSA approved safeguarding capability for the facility.
  • Maintain daily/end-of-day safeguarding forms (SF 701/702).
  • Maintain access rosters (site access list, safe access list, visitor logs).
  • Manage incoming visit requests in Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
  • Maintain the badging, alarm, and camera system.
  • Conduct annual facility security self-inspection.
  • Facilitate annual DCSA inspection with the Industrial Security Representative.
  • Meet additional contractual security requirements specific to the facility (COMSEC, CUI).

Essential Duties of the Job:

  • Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
  • Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
  • Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. general office environment).
