As we continue to expand our impact, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry-Level Data and People Analytics Intern to join our team.

Job Overview: We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Entry-Level Data and People Analytics Intern to support our HR department in analyzing and interpreting data related to our workforce and programs. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analytics within a dynamic nonprofit organization. The successful candidate will work closely with our HR team to extract, clean, and analyze data, as well as assist in generating insights and recommendations to support our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in gathering and organizing HR data from various sources, including employee records, surveys, and performance evaluations.
  • Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and consistency, using tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Support the development and maintenance of HR dashboards and reports to track key metrics such as employee engagement, diversity, and program effectiveness.
  • Conduct basic statistical analyses to identify trends and patterns in HR data, such as turnover rates, recruitment metrics, and training outcomes.
  • Assist in creating data visualizations and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to address specific data-related inquiries and support ongoing projects and initiatives.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in data analytics and HR metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Statistics, Data Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or recent High School Graduate.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a passion for working with data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Basic understanding of statistical concepts and methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Previous internship or coursework related to data analytics, HR, or nonprofit management is a plus.
