Oberlin is Hiring a Museum Game Design Research Assistant Near Oberlin, OH
In collaboration with the Allen Memorial Art Museum, we are reimagining museum engagement with playfulness in mind. Our process involves brainstorming, prototyping, and playtesting games that are designed with museum artwork or are designed to be played in the museum setting. Summer research assistants will iterate on the prototypes from the CSCI 361 museum game project and prepare them for upcoming museum applications. This is an interdisciplinary role where students will learn a mixture of design, software development, and academic reading/writing as the research evolves. Students who are interested in interfaces, the human factors of technology, or the intersection of computing and the practicing arts are encouraged to apply.
