Licensure/Certification:

• Bachelor's Degree in medical technology or a life science Required
• 5 years to 7 years of experience in a clinical and/or a clinical histocompatibility lab Required
• Expert knowledge of all aspects of clinical sample testing in specific area(s) of expertise.
• Expert understanding of complex testing processes and underlying biology of the system.
• Expert understanding of instrumentation used for clinical tests, to facilitate validations and troubleshooting.

Job Description:

• Oversee and review completion of equipment maintenance, instrument calibration, quality control and documentation.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting when needed and review corrective action/troubleshooting reports.
• Define and lead or participate in projects required for the laboratory. Includes software and technology updates, new assay validations, process improvements.
• Ensure accreditation standards are met.
• Contribute to content of clinical policies and laboratory procedures. Ensure procedure manual is maintained and kept up to date.
• Provide input to Supervisor for staff evaluations, performance reviews, coaching and mentoring.
• Solve complex technical problems.
• Observe and support good health and safety practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
