GQR is Hiring a Director of Total Rewards Near Norfolk, VA

Position Overview:

The Director of Total Rewards will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization's comprehensive compensation, benefits, people analytics, and payroll strategies. This role will ensure that the Total Rewards programs align with the company's business objectives, support talent attraction and retention, and comply with all regulatory requirements. The Director will lead a team of professionals and work closely with other HR and business leaders to drive a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Compensation:

  • Design, implement, and manage competitive compensation programs including base salary, incentives, bonuses, and equity plans.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures.
  • Develop and maintain salary structures and pay policies.
  • Lead the annual compensation review process, including salary increases, promotions, and bonus distributions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable compensation laws and regulations.

Benefits:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of comprehensive employee benefits programs including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other employee perks.
  • Evaluate and compare existing company benefits with those of other employers through benchmarking surveys and reports.
  • Negotiate with benefits vendors and manage relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
  • Ensure benefits programs comply with legal requirements and are communicated effectively to employees.

People Analytics:

  • Develop and implement a people analytics strategy to provide insights into workforce trends, behaviors, and performance.
  • Leverage data to drive decisions regarding talent management, retention, and engagement.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to provide HR and business leaders with actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to ensure data integrity and effective system integration.

Payroll:

  • Oversee payroll team ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Ensure payroll tax compliance and manage relationships with payroll service providers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CCP, CBP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on Total Rewards.
  • Proven expertise in compensation, benefits, and people analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and use data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, ERISA, ACA).
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems, with proficiency in using analytics tools and software.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a collaborative and strategic mindset.
