PlayDate Behavioral Interventions is Hiring a Payroll and Billing Specialist Near Colorado, CO

Local nonprofit is looking for a new Payroll and Billing Specialist! We need a person who can handle payments and compensation within the company and ensure all transactions are error-free by keeping track of billing activities, outstanding debts, and over- or under-charging issues. This means you will be responsible for processing claim reimbursements and addressing all errors and inaccuracies related to billing and payment procedures.
An ideal Payroll and Billing Specialist is detail-oriented and able to collect, store, and categorize billing and payment data with precision. In this position, you will also process reimbursement claims to make sure all employees are fairly compensated. We expect you to prepare, send, and sort invoices, as well as inform employees on potential payment deadlines and outstanding debts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Handle the timely and accurate payment of employees’ salaries, reimbursements, and similar payroll activities
  • Calculate billing statements and identify and correct errors to ensure accurate payment procedures
  • Create and send invoices and verify each staff member is paid on time and in full
  • Organize and coordinate employee timesheets to maintain and update employee payment records
  • Manage and review accounts and balances, identify invoice inconsistencies, and handle all discrepancies with employees
  • Track and classify incoming payments and issue receipts for received ones to maintain transparency of transactions
  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive record of accurate and complete client accounts and outstanding balances and present leadership with timely reports on billing data

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in a billing or payroll position
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred
  • Experience with processing payments and transactions
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills, with a good eye for detail
  • Experience using Quickbooks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel
  • Good prioritization skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
