Geode Capital Management is Hiring a Portfolio Analyst Near Boston, MA

Geode Capital Management, LLC is seeking an experienced Portfolio Analyst to join our Quantitative Research & Portfolio Analytics team. The Portfolio Analyst is responsible for conducting a wide variety of equity portfolio analysis including performance, attribution, time series and return decomposition/factors related tasks. The role reports directly to the Head of Quantitative Research and Portfolio Analytics. This is a hybrid work environment position.
This role is located in Boston, Massachusetts and is a hybrid work environment opportunity with a weekly in-office schedule of Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with remote work availability on Mondays and Fridays.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of investment performance and attribution, including: compilation, research, validation, and analysis
  • Preparation and review of investor, client and internal reporting
  • Interpret and provide insights into performance results including market and other outside factors
  • Maintain proprietary performance database
  • Manage performance of fund benchmarks and composites
  • Maintaining internal controls and thorough documentation of policies and procedures
  • Respond to performance enquiries from the investment staff and other ad-hoc requests
Skills You Bring:
  • 2-4 years of prior experience working in a daily fund accounting or performance position
  • Knowledge of performance attribution and characteristics including benchmarks and composition
  • Knowledge of finance/accounting principles, practices and reporting
  • Knowledge of and experience with equity markets, ETFs, derivatives, tax-efficient and hedge funds
  • Solid understanding and experience with Excel; experience with SQL required.
  • Experience using Python/Tableau required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent required
  • Certificate in Performance Measurement {CIPM) designation preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) preferred.
