Job Title: Leak Survey AC Technician
Job Description:
GridHawk LLC, The Premier Provider for Utility Services, is seeking to fill the position for our Leak Survey Department. The Leak Survey AC Technician will focus primarily on inspecting each pipeline or portion of the pipeline that is exposed to the atmosphere for evidence of corrosion. They will work under the supervision of the Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator will identify workloads, identify continued developmental needs, and assist with the execution of all work-related tasks.

All personal protective equipment is provided.
Description:
Work on assigned grids to visually inspect the piping on all customer related gas meters.
In accordance with federal requirements for natural gas utilities, inspection of each pipeline or portion of the pipeline that is exposed to the atmosphere for evidence of corrosion.
Required to differentiate between rust, pitting and potential gas leak when inspecting gas meters.
Completed with Safety, Quality, and Integrity at the forefront of each inspection.
Required to collect data, grade any leaks that are found, and report the condition of the inspection in accordance with customer expectations.
Record and process effective data. (Paperwork, notifications, etc.)
Utilize locating tools, technology, and equipment.
Effective communication with Project Management
Daily check-in.
Completed reports.
Target completion.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED certificate (Required)
Valid driver’s license (Required)
No more than 3 moving violations within a rolling 5-year period (Required) and no DIU or Under the Influence in the last 5-year period (Required)
Satisfactory background screening (Required)
Negative DOT pre-employment drug screen (Required)
Able to pass the training and Operator’s Qualifications testing to be certified to complete job.
Essential skills:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work smoothly with citizens, company, contractor representatives, and customers.
Knowledge and understanding of safe worksite practices.
Working within and utilizing existing utility standard designs.
Experience using basic communication and technology.
Physical Requirements:
Capable of moving about on construction work sites, neighborhoods, public streets, and parkways
Capable of lifting to 15lbs
Ability to stand, walk, kneel or sit for extended periods.
Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various measurement, locating and testing instruments.
Work Environment:
Work safely outside in all weather conditions year-round.
Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is occasionally moderate to loud.
