The company’s Rebate Department is seeking a Financial Analyst – Customer Rebates, responsible for the monthly closing process and daily upkeep on Customer Allowances and Marketing Funds. Maintain and develop accurate accounting records, calculate, and coordinate timely customer rebate payments, and provide insight analysis for financial leaders related to customer rebates. Support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes in the company.
Major Responsibilities

• Monthly close process for Customer allowances and Marketing Funds, while maintaining and developing reports (i.e. rebate expense analysis, reconciliations) for outstanding allowances by using Enable Rebate software solution and other available sources.
• Perform data sourcing and calculations associated with rebate programs to accurately determine the amounts for accruals and disbursements using Enable and other available sources.
• Maintain and improve Enable Rebate tool to better facilitate program administration and communicate program results to management and field sales.
• Provide financial analysis of total rebate revenue, including comparisons to forecasted results and trended results.
• Prepare, enter, and review journal entries into the general ledger system.
• Prepare and analyze account reconciliations, ensuring accurate month end balances.
• Prepare and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual customer rebate payments.
• Assist manager in preparing rebate budget and forecasts.
• Support internal and external auditors in accumulation and preparation of required auditing documentation and schedules.
• Implement process improvements that result in improved efficiencies.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge Required

• Knowledge of accounting principles, theories, and practical applications including GAAP.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel.
• Preferred internship or practical experience in finance and/or accounting functions.
• Willingness to learn new business processes and to adopt and use new IT solutions including ERP and Enable Rebate Software.
• Strong organizational skills; attention to detail; proactive.

Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
