Restorative Nurse Assistant

Full-Time: Hours varies, every other month rotation of 7am-3:30pm, then 9:30am to 6pm.

4:2 schedule

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The RNA implements nursing rehabilitation restorative interventions as directed by the therapist, charge nurse Director of Staff Development and/or the Director of Nursing.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

• The RNA implements nursing rehabilitation restorative interventions as directed by the therapist, charge nurse and/or the Director of Nursing in the following areas: passive and active range of motion, splint or brace assistance, training and skill practice, bed mobility, transfers, walking, dressing, grooming, eating, swallowing, communication, bowel and bladder retraining and prosthetic/amputee care.
• The RNA will accurately document all information pertaining to each resident’s performance in his/her respective restorative program on the daily flow sheets and in each weekly summary. All resident heights as order and weights, monthly, bi-weekly or weekly will be taken as ordered, documented accurately and all unusual weight recordings will be reported immediately to the appropriate charge nurse. The RNA will be responsible for reporting any significant change in the resident’s condition, including but not limited to, incident/accidents, injuries and/or skin integrity issues immediately to the charge nurse.
• The RNA will perform personal care services for the residents, as necessary, within the framework of the individual resident’s activities of daily living and functional abilities.
• Participates in all required/mandatory in services, etc.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What you will bring

Our ideal candidate will be reliable and follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.

• Successful completion of CNA Competency Program, with current registration in the state of California
• At least one year experience as a RNA, with current registration in the state of California
• One year of experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred
• High school graduate, or equivalent
• Legally Authorized to work in the United States
