Job Requirements: Responsible for the overall safe execution of daily production schedules on all manufacturing lines and converting operations and supporting machine and converting crews in the achievement of applicable metrics. Responsibilities: Prepare labor layouts (work schedules), update and approve manufacturing labor payroll and reports, issue manufacturing instructions (masters), and miscellaneous reports. Understand the direction, policy, and goals of the company. Assure that all company policies and work rules are carried out in a uniform, fair, objective and consistent manner. Motivate crew members to achieve their full potential through teaching and training on equipment, process, safety, quality, customer, and environmental issues. Coordinate manufacturing process and activities (including cleanups, felt/wire changes, etc.) to insure production and quality of products meet specifications. Lead through example. Maintains high work environment standards and effectiveness in the areas of employee safety, housekeeping and team work as well as the application of lean standard work methodologies. Understand the needs, issues and problems of the crews and take the appropriate actions to resolve them. Be a good listener. Provide feedback and developmental assistance to crewmembers where they need improvement. Provide job performance feedback to new and promoted employees as required. Coordinate and participate (as a team leader or member) in improvement programs, process changes and process capability improvement initiatives as required to support lean manufacturing, product development, customer complaint investigations, information system upgrades, etc. Apply sound judgment and trouble shooting skills to manufacturing issues as required. Active in self-development in the areas of leadership and technical competencies. Manages, develops, trains, coaches, and evaluates the members of the production team. Will use the Master System, Downtime System, Payroll System, PCIM, E-Mail, MS Excel, MS Word, Active Factory program, Cognex System, and Basis Weight Gauging System as required. Coordination of time and attendance system / labor reporting. Daily approval of time and attendance punches including pay codes. Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned. Remain in compliance with facility ISO and/or TS standards and all HSE guidelines. Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules Must be able to work extended hours when required Some domestic and international travel as required All other duties as assigned This is an Exempt position with a salary range of $90,000 - $110,000. Qualifications/ Experience-Required: Associate’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent work experience Three to five years of supervisory experience Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to organize, manage, and control workflow.
