Supplier Relations Specialist

We are currently seeking a results-driven Supplier Relations Specialist to oversee all facets of Mahar’s supply base in an efficient, cost-effective and profitable manner ensuring the Company’s strategic and financial objectives are met.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years’ experience in purchasing and supply chain.
• Strong negotiations skills
• Ability to Travel
• Microsoft Office, ERP systems
• International experience desirable

What you’ll do:

• Seeks cost reduction opportunities and efficiencies from Suppliers.
• Assists in developing supplier contracts to provide protection for Company’s long-term business interests.
• Resolves vendor grievances and claims against suppliers.
• Manages vendor negotiations including payment terms, contracts, discounts, price increases, T & C’s. pricing, freight, rebates and more.
• Develops and maintains corporate supplier agreements and contracts.
• Keeps in constant contact with the existing supply base, evaluating potential suppliers, and organizing supplier meetings, supplier visits and resourcing activities.
• Works with suppliers to problem solve, track corrective actions, and develop continuous improvement plans.
• Is responsible for our partners with Program Managers to ensure supplier pricing remains current.
• Investigates and resolves any internal operations issues impacting customer service, coordinating with suppliers as appropriate.
• Establishes and monitors specific supply chain-based performance KPI’s.
• Develops contract language with suppliers to provide protection for Company’s long-term business interests.
• Seeks supplier rebates and tracks progress of all sale performance and activities related to rebates through the year.
• Works with cross-functional teams- Finance, Sales, Purchasing, IT, Quality, Operations to achieve company goals.
• Develops and manages a diversity supplier program to meet customer goals and objectives.
• Responsible for ensuring operational and procedural excellence for Mahar.
• Assumes responsibility and authority for executing job related duties outlined in the Company’s Quality Manual.
• Ensures continuous improvement.
