Functioning within the Health System#s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his/her shift.# Education: #High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED) is required.# Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. ## Licensure/Certification: #Must have a valid unrestricted RN license with the Ohio Board of Nursing.# Current BLS required. ACLS certification within 90 days of hire. Obtain PALS, TNCC and Trauma Core Nurse training within 12 months of hire. Basic cardiac class required. # Experience:# Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or emergency department (ED) experience preferred. # Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement; the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must have excellent #customer service# skills, including the ability to exhibit patience and tact with all constituents including physicians, patients and associates.# Must also be cooperative and collaborative, and have the ability to work efficiently while in stressful situations.# Basic computer skills and EMR (electronic medical records) experience also required. #
